OWR SNAPSHOT: ROCKBRIDGE STATE NATURE PRESERVE
In an ongoing series, our own Grant Joy has been traveling throughout the OWR region on short day-trips to find and share its natural beauty:

While Hocking Hills SP and Conkle’s Hollow are closed, an alternative destination in the Hocking Hills region is Rockbridge State Nature Preserve. The preserve is located off of US Route 33, on Dalton Road, just outside of the village of Rockbridge. As the name suggests, the area is home to a natural geological formation that creates a natural bridge. The bridge makes for a great natural scenic area and the preserve also features nearly 3 miles of hiking trails, a waterfall, and offers excellent wildflower viewing in the springtime.
