OWR SNAPSHOT: Burr Oak State Park

on

In an ongoing series, our own Grant Joy has been traveling throughout the OWR region on short day-trips to find and share its natural beauty:

Burr Oak State Park, located off of St. Route’s 13 and 78, on Burr Oak Lodge Road. This bucolic state park nestled in the rugged hills along the convergence of Perry, Athens, and Morgan counties. The park is centered around Burr Oak Lake. The park features numerous miles of hiking trails and connects to Wildcat Hollow trail to allow visitors to continue to further explore the beauties of the Wayne National Forest. While facilities at Burr Oak are closed, visitors can still enjoy the natural beauty of the park.
