We are excited to share two opportunities for experiences producers in Ohio’s Winding Road region. Applications are now open for our “Experiences” Book (for Spring/Mid-Summer: April 1 – Mid-July) as well as our Seed Funds Micro Grants. Both opportunities have a deadline of January 31, 2020, so be sure to apply by then! Look below for more information, and links to the online applications.
EXPERIENCES Book:
The Winding Road EXPERIENCES Book is a twice-annual (spring/summer and fall) guidebook that highlights experience-based tours and products in The Winding Road region (Athens, Fairfield, Hocking, Meigs, Morgan, Muskingum, Perry, Vinton, and Washington counties). An experience tour/product is a unique, locally sourced, place-based interpretive program, guided tour, adventure, exhibit, purchasable piece of art or souvenir, interpretive site, dining experience, shopping experience, festival/event, class or instruction, etc.
Winding Road Seed Funds Micro Grants:
The Winding Road Network has funds available for the development and/or marketing of authentic experience products in The Winding Road region (Athens, Fairfield, Hocking, Meigs, Morgan, Muskingum, Perry, Vinton, and Washington counties). Requests up to $750 will be accepted, however we anticipate that most awards will range from $250 – $500 to allow for more participation in the process. Applicants can be businesses, non-profit organizations, individual interpretive guides, and individual producers. Project funds will be used to pay or reimburse valid invoices, rather than provide a lump sum cash award. Exceptions can be made based on circumstances.
