Visit the studios of artistic power couple Maddy Fraioli and Howard Peller during Mother’s Day weekend for a Mother’s Day Open House between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Fraioli and Peller create high-quality baskets and pottery with traditional artistic style that you can pick up in one of Southeast Ohio’s most stories clay producing regions. There is also hiking available along trails near the studios.

Pottery, like the beautiful work of Maddy Fraioli, has a long history in Roseville and the surrounding areas. The Roseville Pottery Company began in 1890, and pottery-making has been popular there ever since. Fraioli’s work is varied, but she uses many of the traditional techniques honed right in Roseville.

Like pots and other items molded out of the clay from beneath Roseville soil, Howard Peller uses the bountiful resources of this region and traditional techniques to create unique, useful  products. His hand-woven baskets and other items are made with real willow, grown right here in Ohio.
