On the grounds of the former Athens Asylum, Ohio University’s Ridges Trails systems offers visitors a chance to experience the natural beauty of the area. The property now features four different trail systems. As visitors experience the natural beauty surrounding Athens, the landscape still retains its therapeutic qualities bringing respite, solace, contemplation, and tranquility to those who explore the Ridges.
