    June – September 2016

Take a tour of the Ancient Adena and Hopewell Native American Settlement, Glenford Stone Fort. An interpretive guide will meet and escort visitors to see the hilltop enclosure that dates back 2,300 years. Until recently, Perry Counties Native American Settlements were kept secret because of being located on private land.  Due to a Clean Ohio Grant, the public can now view the fort walls and the square earthen works as part of the tour, and can also stop along three local covered bridges.
Lunch is provided at the local historic Clay Haus Restaurant in Somerset.  Walking can be rugged at times and long pants and hiking shoes should be worn!
Price is $45.00. Great for all ages!  Contact the Perry SWCD Office at (740) 743-1325
