Have you ever wanted to paint on fabric and learn how to paint on quilts? Then this is the event for you. Come take a Class at Village Productions Rural Landscape Quilt Workshop located upstairs in the Amesville Grange Building, 16 E. State St. (SR 550), Amesville, Ohio. The studio is entered through the side door of the building, off the parking lot.
Facilitator/Artist Sharon Phillips Saturday, June 10th from 1-3 p.m.
Participants will be introduced to a type of chalk painting that uses the proteins in milk to turn dry pastel chalks into rich mixable paint sticks! Each artist will be supplied with everything needed to create a beautiful fabric folk art landscape. 10X10” squares will become the “pallet” for each person’s rendition of our lovely Southeastern Ohio landscape. After the session the resulting quilt squares will be incorporated into an intriguing full size quilt that will depict the connection between
ourselves and our land.
The workshop is free, but a $10 donation to the Coolville Elementary’s Art Program is asked for.
