SECOND SATURDAY IS BACK IN SHAWNEE
(with social distancing)

Second Saturday, sponsored by Destination Shawnee, will be held July 11 from 7 to 9 p.m. (please note time change from previous events) on historic Main St. Entertainment will be on the lots next door to the Shawnee Mercantile with guiartist/singer Gary Wisor. Persons attending should take their own chair or blanket for seating. Vendors will line Main Street, with legal beverages being sold. Mt. Airy beef food truck will also providing a menu of foods. A walking tour of historic locations, including the Tecumseh Theater will begin at 7:30 pm with Grant Joy, an Americore employee. Persons are to meet at Miners Park for the tour. Although there is no charge for the tour, donations will be accepted and will go toward the theater upkeep. Anyone interested in setting up is welcome and there is no charge to do so. Spaces are on a first come first serve basis. Destination Shawnee also has eight tables available for vendors. For additional information contact Bev Trovato, DS president at 740-856-8253.
