This year, treat your friends and family to locally made and grown food and wellness products, now available at our Holiday Marketplace Pop Up!
Food production in Southeast Ohio is experiencing a sort of renaissance of authentic quality, with a new focus on locally sourced, fresh, seasonal options. Communities around the Winding Road region and beyond are continuing to grow around these principles, with a goal of bringing healthy, delicious food to every corner of this region.
Food isn’t the only star of the show in the Winding Road Region! Our farmers and makers provide us with diverse and unique wellness products for all to enjoy.
We’re excited to share our locally sourced gifts for 2021 and profile new additions to our list of Makers in Southeast Ohio!
Down The Road Farm
downtheroadfarm.com | @downtheroadfarm
Lauren Ketchum, with co-owner Zachary Schultheis, started the small farm in 2012 to grow vegetables, herbs, fruit, and flowers on a ¾ acre portion of their wooded 12-acre farm. They use no genetically engineered seed or hazardous synthetic chemical herbicides, pesticides, fungicides, or fertilizers. Instead, they use natural methods, like cover crops, to manage weeds and pests, improve soil fertility, and encourage biodiversity.
OWR’s Holiday Market is proud to sell their Simple Suds line of farmhouse soaps. Their soap is made in the farm kitchen using simple ingredients like olive oil, lye, dried herbs, and essential oils

Integration acres, a diversified farm in southeastern Ohio, owned by Chris Chmiel and Michelle Gorman, first provided fresh pawpaws for sale back in 1996. It remains one of the largest processors of pawpaws anywhere, with a product line that includes frozen pawpaw pulp, jarred pawpaw products, and pawpaw seeds and trees. It offers foraged-farmed, locally foraged crops like spicebush berries, black walnuts, and ramps.

pawpaw chutney
Blended with local apples and hot peppers, and of course loads of pawpaw pulp, this chutney adds a zing to any dish, be it rice or a sandwich. It also makes a good base for a salad dressing, or as a spread with crackers and cheese.
