In an ongoing series, our own Grant Joy has been traveling throughout the OWR region on short day-trips to find and share its natural beauty:

Clear Creek is Columbus’ southern-most metro park. Clear Creek encompasses over 4,700 and is located just off of US-Route 33, 7 miles south of Lancaster on Clear Creek Rd. Clear Creek, much like the rest of the Hocking Hills Region, offers visitors ample opportunity to view Canadian Hemlock trees and ferns throughout the park’s cool damp ravines. The area is also known for its sandstone outcroppings and stands of Oak and Hickory.
