2016 Upcoming Event – Restoring Bird Diversity One Acre At A Time Tour

Restored lands have given flight to a revival in bird populations.

The tour will meet at Burr Oak Lodge and briefly discuss local history of the area focusing on resource extraction. From there we will head over to Tom Jenkins Dam to check out some water birds. Next we will drive to Wildcat Hollow and look for woodland birds in an area that was once heavily logged. We will drive to Somerset to a bite to eat and a visit to the farmers market. After, we will head to a restored grassland area near Rehobeth. We will head back to Burr oak after this.

Tour Specifics: We will stop to eat at Sophie’s Tea Room, or bring own lunch. Both novice and experienced birders of any age are welcome on this tour.

Cost: $50.00 per person, includes transportation
