Artists in Perry County continue to mold the future from the bounty of the earth
At The Clay Center of Ohio, Theresa Dolens and Lee Ungemach will host an exhibit of functional pottery and ceramic art by ceramic artists, clay production studios, and pottery manufacturers from throughout southeastern Ohio. Theresa, Lee, and students of The Center’s clay education program will offer pottery making demonstrations for all and activities for children. The Clay Center will open at 9:00 AM and close at 6:00 PM. It is located on Ceramic Road at the intersection with State Route 93 between Roseville and Crooksville, Ohio.
At The Somerset Artist’s Co-Operative, Co-Op artist members will host and present an exhibit featuring work by members and by visiting artists Linda Regula and David Scheffler. Linda and David will be present much of the day. The Co-Op will open at 9:00 AM and close at 6:00 PM. It is located at 206 South Market Street in Somerset.
In Shawnee, Ohio, it is Little Cities of Black Diamonds Day. This annual event features tours of historic and natural features, arts and crafts, music, story-telling, food and more entertainment. Ceramic Artists: Dale Hague, Arthur Kettner, and Pat Robarge will demonstrate their ways with clay, answer questions, and present a gallery of their work throughout the event. Little Cities Day begins at Noon and ends at 5:00 PM. Shawnee is at the intersection of State Routes 93 and 155.

Tour Specifics: The event occurs at three locations in Perry County, Ohio, on October 19, 2015. Should nature cooperate, the preferred tour route will offer some of the best fall foliage scenes available. All of the locations provide indoor activity and the tour happens rain or shine. This is the first annual Fall Art Tour; participants may take part in a contest to name the tour. Tour begins at The Clay Center of Ohio, near Roseville and will finish in Shawnee.
Transportation provided to all three locations departing The Clay Center of Ohio at 10:30 AM – returning 4:00 PM.
Cost: $35.00 includes transportation and lunch
