Located along St. Route 278, between the village of Zaleski and the city of Nelsonville, in the heart of Zaleski State Forest, Lake Hope offers ample hiking opportunities for visitors. The park features a large scenic lake along with 25 miles of trails. The Park is on the site of the historic Hope Furnace which pays homage to the area’s rich iron ore history, dating back to early and mid 1800’s. The park features several hiking trails, including the Peninsula and Hope Furnace trails that follow the lake shore.
